What are the requirements for admission into the MBA program?Domestic and international applicants must participate in a 30-minute interview with admissions as part of their application process.

In order to waive the TOEFL with an ESL program, you will need to have completed the program and a letter from the organization stating your completion. You may also waive the TOEFL if you have been at a US University or College for 2 or more years.
Please be advised, we must receive all of your documents for your application at least 30 days prior to the start of the semester in which you intend to start the program.

What are the deadlines to apply?
Domestic Students Deadlines to Apply:
There are 5 start dates a year. Fall 1 – August, Fall 2 – October, Spring 1 – January, Spring 2 – March and Summer 1 – May. All application materials need to be in 2 weeks prior to the start date.
International Students Deadlines to Apply:
June 1st, for Fall and November 1st for Spring.

Is the GMAT required?
The GMAT is not required. However, if you have taken the test and want to submit your scores we will take them into account when reviewing your file for admission.

Do you require students to be working while completing the MBA?
You do not have to be working, although most of the projects directly correlate with work in the business world so it would be in your best interest to have a part – time of full – time job.

How long will it take me to complete the MBA degree?
On average our students finish in approximately 2 years. The MBA degree is a total of 40 Units (20 Core Classes and 20 Electives).

How much will I be investing in my MBA degree?
The per unit cost for the 2009 – 2010 year is $675. You will be investing approximately $27,000.00 for 40 units. (Tuition is subject to annual review)

Are there majors or emphasis in the MBA program?
Our MBA program is in Business Practice. We do not offer specific majors or emphasis but rather an overall view of business in your first year during the core classes. As you enter into your second year and elective courses you are able to pick and choose your own path to discover your own passions in business. There are over 20 electives to choose from and more are added every session.

When are classes for the MBA program offered?
Classes are offered in the evenings Monday – Thursday from 6 – 9pm. The MBA program is a hybrid format where half of your classes are on campus and half are online. This allows the working student the ability to balance, work, life and school.

Does the business faculty have experience in the business world?
You bet! The business faculty at CUI are actual experts in their fields. Most have over 20 years experience working in their particular areas from, marketing to management, green research, finance, accounting, non-profit and more! They hold the top degrees and have studied at prestigious schools. Since class sizes are small you are able to develop a relationship with these professors as well as be mentored by some of the best in their fields.

How are applicants are selected?
Candidates are expected to provide evidence of their ability to achieve success in a graduate business program. Areas of measurement include but are not limited to:
Success as an undergraduate student demonstrated by continuous improvement in their
academic performance.
A cumulative GPA of 2.75 or better (4.0 scale) in all previous college work
meets this requirement. Since a high undergraduate GPA is not a necessary indicator of business success,
Concordia considers all applicants academic accomplishments on an individual basis.
