 First Time College Students
Am I a First Time College Student?
- A first time college student is an applicant with less than 24 semester/36 quarter college units. Entering freshman may submit an application any time after the completion of their junior year of high school.
General Education Requirements
- Minimum cumulative high school GPA of 2.8
- Minimum SAT Total Score of 900 (writing section not included) or minimum ACT composite score of 18.
- Applicants for regular admission status must have successfully completed the following high school courses by the time they enroll at Concordia University
- English: 4 years
- Mathematics: 3 years including
- Algebra 1
- Algebra 2
- Geometry
- Science 3 years including at least two years of the following laboratory sciences
- Biology
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Social Science: 2 years
- Foreign Language: 2 years of the same language with a “C” average

- Deadlines for Fall Enrollment
- "Early Action" application deadline is December 1
- "Early Action" notification sent by December 15
- Financial Aid priority application deadline is February 15
- Deadlines for Spring Enrollment
- Financial Aid priority application deadline is December 1
Accepted Student Resources
- All accepted students are invited to Concordia University’s Preview Day.
- Transcript evaluations are made to determine the equivalency of transferred courses and are reviewed and mailed once the student has been accepted.
- Deposit deadline for Fall enrollment is May 1
- Deposit deadline for Spring is December 1

Financial Aid
- First Time College Students students may qualify for an academic merit award based off their high school GPA and SAT/ACT scores. Please visit CUI’s Financial Aid website for more information.
